SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - The deadly crash of Continental Flight 3407 in New York has another local connection.

Johnathan Perry, 27, was a graduate of St. Xavier High School.

Perry grew up in Loveland, and graduated from St. X in 1999. The New York Daily News says Perry was with his girlfriend, Nicole, on a flight to spend the weekend with her family in Buffalo.

Perry was an accountant and the director at W. P. Carey International Asset Management group in New York. He attended the University of Pennsylvania.

His St. X family says the long blue line of alumni is strong, and now their brotherhood has one less.

"Obviously a good stand out student to get into an Ivy League Wharton School," said Mark Montz, director of communications for St. X. "Successful career in New York. A man of service, theater, checkers club, cheerleader, on the pom squad."

Officials at St. X say their thoughts and prayers are with the Perry family.

Details on funeral arrangements or a memorial service haven't been made public yet.

Also killed in the crash was 61-year old Douglas Wielinski, who had lived with his family in Clermont County for 15 years. Wielinski lived in the home the plane crashed in to.
