Can you use your pancakes as frisbees? Do they taste like the box they came in?
With a little extra effort, you can have Perfect Pancakes this Saturday morning.
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 T sugar
4 t baking powder
1/8 t salt
1/2 t vanilla
1 cup milk
1/4 cup canola oil
Heat griddle to medium heat. Grease lightly with shortening.
Separate yolks and whites.
Mix milk ,vanilla and oil into yolks
In large bowl whisk flour, sugar ,baking powder, salt and sugar together.
With electric mixer in medium bowl beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
Mix yolk mixture with dry ingredients
Gently fold in whipped egg whites.
With ladle scoop 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pancake mix onto griddle*, cook about 1 minute or until bubbles in batter pop. Turn and cook for another 30 seconds.
* at this point you can add sliced bananas, blueberries or chocolate chips to your pancakes.
Top with syrup, butter and powdered sugar.
