HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - Two men have been arrested after a home invasion and robbery.

Michael Haggard, 24, of Hebron, and Mark Downey, 18, of Covington, were arrested Tuesday afternoon and charged with burglary, robbery and kidnapping.

Police say a home was broken into in the 6200 block of River Road in Taylorsport around noon on Tuesday. A neighbor described a dark blue car with two white males in it leaving the residence.

Deputies were investigating that incident when a resident from the 1800 block of Coachtrail Drive in Hebron called to report a home invasion robbery at around 1:20 p.m.

Two deputies left the River Road burglary and headed toward Coachtrail Drive when one of them spotted a dark blue Chevy Impala coming toward them with two occupants that matched the neighbor's description. The deputies stopped the car and found property from both break-ins.

Police say they have connected the pair to another robbery that occurred on Feb. 11. The investigation continues.

The men are being held in the Boone County Detention Center, each on a $50,000 bond.
