CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19)-- Police are searching for two suspects after they say one of them pointed a gun at an officer on the highway.
At 4:00am, a Cincinnati police officer was driving south on I-71 at the Dana Avenue entrance when he was passed by another vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
While the vehicle was passing, the passenger leaned from an open window and pointed a long-barrel weapon at the officer.
Police say the vehicle exited the highway at the Taft Road exit or the Reading Road / Gilbert Avenue exit. Officials were not able to locate the suspects.
Investigators describe the vehicle as a dark, possible black 2-door Eagle Talon or a Mitsubishi Eclipse with dark tinted windows.
The description of the passenger is a male in his 20's wearing all dark clothing. There is no description of the driver.
Cincinnati Police are investigating the incident as asks anyone with information to call Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
