I will preface this quick review by reiterating that I'm a movie snob. I don't always enjoy, or even see what may be number one at the box office. Taken is one of those movies I reluctantly paid to see, mainly because of Liam Neeson. Neeson is a fine actor but I'm wondering why he decided to make this movie. Money? I'm guessing he's doing alright in that department. Maybe it looked better in script form than on celluloid.
The plot is simple, his daughter's kidnaped and he kills dozens of bad guys trying to get her back. Nuff said.
I didn't enjoy this movie Tuesday when I saw it, and I didn't enjoy this movie 23 years ago when it was called Commando. The only difference's between the two are: Neeson kept his shirt on the entire time and there was no Rae Dawn Chong. Don't get Taken by this dog...it will be in the markdown bin very soon.
