Kentucky couple faces charges for growing pot

HEBRON, KY (FOX19)-- A local couple is facing charges after officials find marijuana growing in their home.

On Saturday morning, Boone county sheriffs deputies discovered that they may have found an indoor marijuana grown at the 6800 block of Sugarberry Drive in Hebron.

A serach warrant was issued at 12:00pm, and investigators found 16 pot plants and an assortment of indoor grow equipment.

35-year-old Christopher Winterman and 33-year-old Kathryn Sandovall were charged with Cultivating marijuana. Winterman is also charged with Trafficking marijuana and is being held at the Boone County Detention Center.

These charges are class D felonies and they could face 1 to 5 years in prison.
