Woman dies in overnight crash

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A woman is dead after an overnight crash on Interstate 75.

It happened northbound at the 8.9 mile marker, between Towne St. and Paddock Road around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say a female was operating a vehicle in the left lane when she struck an ODOT dump truck, which was pulling a lighted arrow board caution sign. The ODOT truck was partially parked in the left berm and was part of a multi-vehicle work crew patching potholes.

The female driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say she was wearing a seat belt. Her name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The dump truck was being operated by Anthony Williams, 38. He was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation. Any witnesses should call the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
