Models are getting closer to agreeing on a big snow event here. As the cold air settles in over the FOX19 viewing area Thursday and Friday it will ease eastward putting us right on the line between rain and snow. Of course as is so often the case that means a transitional zone of ice in between. All this will occur beginning Thursday night and during the day on Friday and the first to get slick conditions will be the counties to the west of the metro area. Friday the slick weather will ease eastward and several inches of snow are possible during the day. The ground is colder now so some snow is more likely to stick and as temperatures hover just below freezing Friday there will likely be the expected chaos of a wintry day. More specifics as new model runs come out.
