SATURDAY IS A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY - HEAT ADVISORY - AND A SEVERE TSTORM THREAT
The rain we received this morning along with the cloud cover that persisted into afternoon held the temperature down just a bit today. The atmosphere did rebound especially southwest of Cincinnati metro and the heat index in many locations surpassed the 100° mark again today. Areas where the cloud cover persisted well into afternoon did not make 90° for the high temperature.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect tomorrow for most of the FOX19 NOW viewing area. You can expect the heat index to peak in the 100° to 106° range over most of the Tri State.
In addition most of our viewing area is under a SLIGHT RISK of severe thunderstorms tomorrow with flooding rains and gusty winds the main threat.
Sunday will still be hot and just a bit less humid so you can expect the heat index to reach the mid 90s. More rain and thunder is in the forecast Sunday but it is looking like the severe threat moves east of the Cincinnati Tri State early in the day
