CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Musician John Legend hosted a get out the vote rally in the Cincinnati-area Sunday morning.
Legend is taking part in the Ohio Democratic Party’s #PeopleFirst Bus Tour and is making additional stops in Dayton and Toledo.
He spoke to a crowd in support of Democratic candidates running in Ohio at a rally in Norwood that began around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Legend is a native of Springfield, Ohio.
The spokesperson for the Republican National Committee responded Sunday evening to the event.
“We are just days away from the midterm election and the Democrats’ choose controversial Obama alumnus Eric Holder and west-coast rockstar John Legend as their closing messengers. This characterizes the choice Ohioans have on November 6th - do we want to move forward with Republican results, or do we want to move backward with Democrat resistance....The choice is clear,” said RNC spokesperson Mandi Merritt in a statement.
