Victims identified in triple fatal crash in Brown County

Three generations of family die in crash

BROWN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in a triple fatal crash in Brown County Wednesday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to Bethel New Hope Road near Elm Corner Road at about 5:45 p.m. Three people were found in a blue, 2009 Ford Escape that drove off the right side of the road and hit a tree, according to a news release from the patrol’s Brown County post.

The driver, Nicholas P. Moler, 33, of Bethel, was killed along with Robert C. Moler, 83, and Cameron Moler, 10, who were both passengers in the back seat of the Escape.

Troopers say Cameron Moler was wearing a safety belt but Nicholas Moler and Robert Moler were not.

Neighbors tell FOX19 that Nicholas was Robert Moler’s grandson and Cameron was his great-grandson.

Robert Moler taught at Bethel-Tate schools for “some time," school officials said.
