CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati police are investigating after a snowball fight escalated into something more this past weekend.

It happened on West Liberty Street in Price Hill.

Video of the incident is spreading online -- in it, a man named Tyshawn Mayers is being arrested.

Moments later, a 16-year-old is also arrested.

Police say the two were taken into custody after throwing snowballs at a city snow plow truck driver. They say the driver felt threatened and called for help.

“We are actively investigating,” said Lt. Steve Saunders. “It’s more than just a snowball fight. Any time a city employee feels threatened we take that seriously. Both the adult and the juvenile are facing serious charges.”

A witness at the scene told FOX19 the snowball throwers were building a wall made out of snow and the driver was trying to clean it up. The witness said there were about six people building the wall of snow, and they were blocking West Liberty Street.

“They were throwing at the snow plow and I came back in and the next thing I know there was a bunch of police flying down the street," said the witness.

Mayers could not be reached for comment. He’s been charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, failure to disclose personal information and obstruction of justice.

FOX19 is not naming the other person because he is a minor. He’s facing disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice charges.
