CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will be FOX19 NOW First Alert Weather Days.
The weather roller coaster will bring a wintry mix of rain, snow, and ice for Thursday’s morning commute. This all will begin around 5 a.m. in the Tri-State.
Below is look at how this wild weekend of weather is shaping up.
5 a.m. -- Rain, snow, ice mix moving into northwest part of the viewing area.
7 a.m. -- That mix spreads across the central part of the viewing area, becoming wetter (less ice)
8 a.m. -- Most of the viewing area is getting precipitation, with temps close to freezing (so, mainly wet with icy patches possible)
12 p.m. -- Mix exits to the north, rain remains throughout the day
8 a.m. -- Mixed precipitation moves into the viewing area (a few slick spots in the northern counties, others will be wet)
12 p.m. -- Mostly wet except viewing area’s far northern counties
6:30 p.m. -- Snow advances southward, still mainly wet except viewing area’s northern counties
12 a.m. -- Snow over most of the area (and accumulating)
6 a.m. -- Snow tapering off in the northwest part of the viewing area, still going in the metropolitan area (wind chills in single digits)
2:30 p.m. -- Snow ends but wind may gust up to 40 mph, causing blowing and drifting snow with reduced visibility
Temperatures may dip below zero by Monday morning with wind chills as low as -25 in certain areas.
This weekend we could mostly see big fluffy dry snow that blows around easily.
