Thunderstorms by Wednesday? Strange (but warmer) weather ahead

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - There is a Winter Weather Advisory overnight. Friday is a First Alert Weather Day.

The wild rollercoaster ride continues through the next seven days. The light snow ends Friday morning and it may cause icy patches because road surfaces are very cold after the arctic blast of the past few days.

Look for accumulations of 1 to 2 inches in metro Cincinnati.

Northern counties will see 2 to 3 inches and as you head south of the city accumulations will be very light.

Main roads have so much residual salt or deicer that it will be very difficult for snow not to melt. Another factor is that the snow is a dry, fluffy snow that does not easily pack under the weight of car tires.

The warming trend kicks in with temperatures warmer than freezing Friday afternoon. Look for a nice weekend then rain and seasonally warm weather Monday through Wednesday.

The possibility exists that there could be heavy thunderstorms Wednesday.
