CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - More than 5 inches of rain has been measured at CVG so far this month, setting the stage for both small stream and Ohio River flooding.
The good news is that the next bout of heavy rain may not arrive until Feb. 19.
Until then, wet snow is in the forecast Friday evening and Saturday morning and a light mix of rain and snow should fall Sunday.
The total amount of water falling those three days will be enough to keep the soil wet but not enough to aggravate the flooding situation. At this point it looks like the track of a fast moving Alberta clipper will be across Tennessee Saturday putting our region in a transition zone from almost no snow near Dayton, Ohio to significant accumulations between Cincinnati and Lexington, Ky.
A small change in the track of the storm will be a big difference is snow totals. The possibility of more small stream flooding returns Tuesday into Wednesday next week.
