CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Westbound Columbia Parkway at Kemper Road opened Friday afternoon following another landslide.

The landslide was between Kemper Lane and Bains Street.

This is the latest in a series of closures due to landslides in recent weeks along Columbia Parkway, a main east-west thoroughfare linking eastern Hamilton County and Cincinnati to Downtown.

Earlier this week, three landslides alone on Tuesday closed the road and two right lanes were closed near Kemper Lane Monday.

Anthony Johnson, policy director for Cincinnati City Councilwoman Tamaya Dennard, according to the city’s website, said in a tweet he urges people not to build homes in the area.

“Small slides” are the reason I advise people against building/buying homes on cliffs and hillsides in ⁦@CityOfCincy⁩," he tweeted Monday. “Unless you enjoy having your home torn apart in a landslide, that is. If you like it that way, go right ahead — build, build, and slide, slide away.”
