CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - BLINK fans will now have to wait for the actual event in October after the creative partners decided to cancel their pop-up party Thursday due to weather concerns.

“In the interest of safety, this evening’s BLINK Pop-Up Party has been canceled due to the threat of lightning,” event organizers said.

The party was designed to celebrate the finale of the ArtsWave campaign, which ends Tuesday.

It was supposed be from 7 to 10 p.m. at 1255 Clay Street and feature food, drinks, entertainment and a few BLINK surprises.

They still encourage fans of BLINK to donate to ArtsWave on their website.

It’s also suggested for fans who planned on attending to visit Fretboard Brewing or Just Q’in Barbecue in thanks for their support of the event.

The art and light phenomenon, BLINK, is scheduled from Oct. 10-13.

The event will stretch from Cincinnati’s Findlay Market neighborhood south to Covington, Kentucky – bridging two states, and spanning 30 city blocks and a river.
