CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A father charged with murdering his 2-month-old son pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Wednesday in Warren County.

Court documents show Cody Colwell is charged with two counts of murder, felonious assault, and two counts of endangering children.

A Warren County judge set Cody Colwell’s bond at $250,000 cash. He was denied a request for a lower bond.

Clearcreek Township police say his son, Cayden Colwell was found unresponsive in his home on State Route 123 on April 11th after they received a call about a child not breathing. He died three days later.

Investigators say the child suffered head trauma, which led to brain swelling and other complications.

Christal Hipsher, Cayden’s aunt, shared this statement with us on Wednesday after Cody’s hearing: “We as the family just want justice. We wish we could have Cayden back."
