CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Monroe Police Department is continuing its investigation after shots were fired at a Monroe home Monday night.

Police said the shots were fired in the area of Stone Ridge Lane and one round struck a house.

The investigation revealed a single bullet entered the rear glass sliding door at the home, before becoming lodged into the kitchen wall.

According to police, during the investigation, additional witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots around the same time, but from further east of Stone Ridge Lane in the Hamilton Lebanon Road and Yankee Road area.

Police said it appears that the shots fired may have originated from one or more moving vehicles and there is no evidence the family was targeted.

In April, police began investigating two incidents where shots were fired at the same house in the Monroe Crossings subdivision.

Officer King with the Monroe Police Department said as of right now police don’t believe these most recent incidents are connected. No arrests have been made in either case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Monroe Police Department at 513-539-9234.
