RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. (FOX19) - Eastbound Interstate 74 opened around 11:30 a.m. following a lengthy closure Tuesday morning when a semi tractor-trailer overturned.
The highway was shut down from 5:38 a.m. until about 9 a.m. It was blocked again by 9:30 a.m. due to issues righting the massive toppled vehicle.
Nothing spilled from the vehicle, but the driver was taken to Margaret Mary Health hospital with non-life threatening injuries shortly after the crash was reported at 5:38 a.m., according to the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
Drivers were detoured off the highway onto the Batesville exit.
