Rain ending, summer-like humidity around the corner

CINCINNATI, Ohio (FOX19) - A mesoscale convective system (MCS for short, just a big cluster of thunderstorms that work cooperatively) developed near Chicago and pushed into the Tri-State as it weakened.

Only Decatur and Ripley counties were put under severe thunderstorm warnings and even there, no damage has been reported.

Warm air is building out west -- parts of Iowa reached 91 degrees Thursday -- and some of that air getting ready to move our way and along with summer-like temperatures comes summer time humidity.

Showers will move out of the region this evening and after midnight all the rain and thunder will push east out of the area. As Friday progresses a few isolated showers will pop. The weekend looks dry, warm and humid until early Sunday evening. when rain and thunder return.
