SHARONVILLE, Ohio (FOX19) - Sharonville police believe speed and alcohol played a factor in an early Sunday crash that killed one person and injured another on Interstate 75.

It happened around 1 a.m. in the area of Sharon Road. Police say a car traveling northbound crossed the median and into southbound lanes before it was struck by an oncoming car.

The driver who crossed the median, Walter Gibson, Jr., 50, of Fairfield, was pronounced dead at the scene after “all lifesaving attempts were exhausted,” according to police.

The southbound driver, a 34-year-old from Cincinnati, was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
