CINCINNATI, Ohio (FOX19) - A Butler County man was charged with felonious drug trafficking and possession after he called police to a residence Monday, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Jesse Gaines, 22, of New Miami was arrested after deputies uncovered large amounts drugs and other illegal property from the home.

Gaines called 911 to his Wichita Drive home Monday to report a woman — who said she came to recover personal items — would not leave the property. Upon arriving, deputies were made aware of a bag of what appeared to be drugs in the freezer.

After executing a search warrant, BURN Task Force agents found $13,000 cash, a money counter, seven pounds of solid hash, 322 vials of solid hash, 1,500 THC vape cartridges, two firearms and other drug paraphernalia in the home, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

This was a significant seizure of drugs that will not be distributed on the streets of New Miami and Butler County, Sheriff Jones said.

The office says in addition to the trafficking and possession felony charges, more charges will be presented from a Grand Jury after lab results are processed.
