WILDER , Ky. (Cincinnati Enquirer) - A city councilman and the former assistant fire chief for the City of Wilder is dead after a crash Saturday, officials said.
According to our media partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer, Robert Honaker was involved in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash near his home in Wilder around 4:30 in the morning, fire officials said.
"Rob began his career in public service to his city as a volunteer firefighter," the fire department said in a Facebook post. "He rose through the ranks to the position of assistant chief which he held until leaving the department."
Officials said he was currently serving his third term on City Council.
Investigators have not released any information on the possible cause of the crash
