CINCINNATI, Ohio (FOX19) - Former University of Cincinnati men’s basketball head coach Bob Huggins and Bearcat greats Kenyon Martin and Kevin Youkilis were announced Monday as part of the inaugural Conference USA Hall of Fame class.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, Conference USA’s inaugural class is comprised of 20 student-athletes, three coaches and two administrators. The inductees will be honored throughout the 2019-20 academic year at C-USA championships and events.
Huggins coached the UC men’s basketball team for 16 seasons and was named C-USA Coach of the Year three times.
Martin, the 2000 consensus National Player of the Year, won the C-USA player of the year and the conference defensive player of the year three times.
Youkilis, who won two World Series titles with the Boston Red Sox, was a two-time First Team All-C-USA selection at UC.
Cincinnati was a member of Conference USA from 1996-2005.
