CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A Lebanon police officer was arrested on Sunday night in connection with a domestic violence incident, court documents state.
Patrol Officer John Wetzel, 41, is facing charges of aggravated menacing, using a firearm while intoxicated and domestic violence.
Wetzel was placed on administrative leave by the Lebanon Division of Police.
“The Lebanon Division of Police has been notified of the off-duty arrest of Patrol Officer John Wetzel and the criminal investigation by the Clearcreek Township Police Department. Wetzel has been placed on administrative leave and relieved of all police powers and law enforcement duties. There is no additional information at this time,” Lebanon police said.
Wetzel was booked into the Warren County Jail, but was released on a signature bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 22.
