Fire at Frank Lloyd Wright home in Clifton causes $100K in damage

CLIFTON, Ohio (FOX19) - Fire caused $100,000 in damage to a historic home in Clifton home late Thursday, Cincinnati fire officials said.

About 40 firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 1 Rawson Woods Lane just after 9 p.m., a news release states.

That is the site of the Frank Lloyd Wright home, which is on the National Register of Historic Landmarks.

It’s one of three homes in Cincinnati designed by Wright.

They found smoke pouring from the home and fire visible in a front window.

Firefighters knocked the blaze down in about 10 minutes.

No one was home at the time.

The cause remains under investigation.

The home is listed for sale for $695,000, according to its website.
