Coroner: 27-year-old woman killed by lightning strike at Spring Grove Cemetery
SPRING GROVE VILLAGE, Ohio (FOX19) - One of three people struck by lightning at Spring Grove Cemetery over the holiday weekend has died, according to Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.
Danielle Brosious, 27, of Green Township, was pronounced dead Friday at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, a coroner’s report shows.
“Spring Grove is deeply saddened by this tragic accident. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families,” Gary M. Freytag, President and CEO of Spring Grove Cemetery, said.
Two of the three victims were in serious condition Friday night, he said.
Her obituary says Dani, as she was known, was a graduate of McAuley High School where she participated in basketball and softball.
She went to Northern Kentucky University where she received her Undergraduate Degree for Sports Business and was an active member of Delta Gamma Sorority.
Dani completed her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology at Eastern Illinois.
On Tuesday, friends of Dani’s told us she was “radiant” and had an “amazing personality.”
Another told us she was “always smiling and laughing” and “it was contagious any time she was around.”
The 27 year old recently got married. The photographer for her wedding shared these pictures with us.
Visitation for Danielle Brosious will be held Friday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, Sept. 7 at 10 a.m. at Mercy McAuley High School, 6000 Oakwood Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mercy McAuley Financial Aid Fund.
