AVONDALE, Ohio (FOX19) - A 36-year-old woman was shot and killed in her Avondale home Tuesday night, according to Cincinnati police.
Officers responded to the 500 block of Prospect Place at 6:25 p.m.
Multiple shots fired outside the victim’s apartment went inside, and at least one struck her, police said.
First responders located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide investigators identified her as Shauna Gardner.
It was not immediately clear if she was the intended target or an innocent bystander, police said.
No arrests were made, and no suspect information was released.
This homicide comes as the city sees a slight uptick in shootings overall this year and a jump in them this summer, one that also was an especially violent one for teens.
