U.S. Bank didn’t renew its naming rights sponsorship of the arena. It was the sponsor since 2002.

The arena was built in 1974 and opened in 1975 as Riverfront Coliseum before becoming ‘The Crown’ in 1997 following a major renovation.

Heritage Bank representatives said during Monday’s press conference the name change is a big and brand new chapter.
