Coroner responds to report of person struck by train in Butler County

LEMON TWP., Ohio (FOX19) - The death of a 42-year-old man struck by a train in Butler County on Monday is under investigation as a suicide, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies with the sheriff’s office and fire crews responded just before 4 p.m. to the incident at the CSX railroad yard at 1003 Forrer St., a sheriff’s report shows.

Shortly after, a member of the Butler County Coroner’s office was called to the scene.

The man’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said.
