Hamilton County inmate escapes from hospital, sheriff’s office says

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - An inmate escaped custody while he was admitted at a Cincinnati hospital Sunday afternoon, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s officials said Henry Haas, 30, had been admitted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a medical condition. They said he escaped from his hospital room Sunday.

He reportedly fled on foot and hasn’t been found.

Escape charges have been filed.

Haas was booked in the jail Friday on robbery and parole violation charges, officials said.
