MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (FOX19) - A Middletown police detective accused of harassing female officers has resigned.

Brandon Highley offered his resignation to acting City Manager Susan Cohen on Nov. 15.

The complaint against Highley was made in October during the Ohio Attorney General’s Law Enforcement Conference in Columbus.

Highley was accused of harassing several female officers by making inappropriate comments.

The complaint says Highley cursed the officers while claiming he had lewd photos of one of them on his cell phone.

The department removed Highley from the conference and placed him on administrative leave during the investigation.

The complaint also led the department to investigate Highley’s behavior at the 2018 OAG event as well.

Highley was a seven-year veteran of the Middletown Police Department and also served as a school resource officer.
