Officers responded to the 1800 block of Lakenoll Drive around 9:15 p.m.
An affidavit says witnesses told Mt. Healthy police that Harold K. Gregory, 49, of Mt. Healthy, initiated a physical altercation with his son, Garren Peterson, and fired one shot into the right calf of Devon Longworth.
Longworth was taken to Mercy West Hospital, said police.
