CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Rain made for a rough morning commute Friday as several crashes slowed major highways.

An accident on southbound I-75 in Springdale shut down all lanes at I-275 and the ramps to I-275, according to Hamilton County dispatchers.

Earlier, traffic on Cincinnati’s east side came to a standstill when another crash shut down the ramp from eastbound I-74 to I-75.

Two Cincinnati police cruisers were struck in separate incidents on highways before dawn. No officers were hurt, police said.

Collisions also were reported on:

  • Southbound I-71 near Red Bank Road, where a vehicle wrecked into a tree, according to dispatchers.
  • On the ramp from southbound I-75 to Tylersville Road, closing the ramps for about 30 minutes, the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Hamilton post said.
  • State Route 123 and Route 350 in Turtlecreek Township. State Route 123 was closed for about an hour before reopening about 8:30 a.m. One person was extricated from a vehicle and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lebanon post.
