CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Two Cincinnati police cruisers were struck on highways in separate incidents early Friday, police said.
Both officers are OK.
A cruiser in a construction zone on eastbound Interstate 74 was struck, police said. No one was hurt, and the striking vehicle stopped. The officer was working an off-duty detail at the time.
Then, about 4 a.m., a vehicle crashed into a guard rail on southbound I-75 near Towne Street about 4 a.m. A minor injury was reported.
A Cincinnati police officer responded to the crash and his cruiser was struck by a driver not paying attention, police said.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the cruiser stopped afterward and remained on scene until wreckers cleared all the vehicles out.
The highway fully reopened shortly after.
