CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Organizers of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade announced Wednesday the parade has been canceled for March 17.

This is the first time in 175 years the parade has been canceled.

Sad to say that the 178th Cleveland St Patrick’s Day parade has been cancelled, due to the health crisis.

The 175th annual Cleveland St. Patrick’s Day Parade was scheduled to begin at 1:04 p.m. on March 17 on Superior Avenue at E. 18th Street.

The parades in Akron and Youngstown were also canceled.

The Red Cross has released these tips on how to protect yourself from the coronavirus.
