CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. (FOX19) - Three people have been arrested in connection with a cold case murder in Gallatin County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Bernard “Cowboy" Hopkins was found dead in his trailer outside of Warsaw, Kentucky, on March 13, 1989.
Through their investigation and following up new leads, KSP detectives were able to develop persons of interest in the case.
The Gallatin County Grand Jury handed down indictments on Friday, March 20 and Curtis Wade Sharon, Shawn F. Satchwell, and Ricky H. Asher were arrested without incident state police say.
Sharon has been charged with complicity to murder and solicitation of murder and is being held at the Switzerland County Detention Center in Vevay, Indiana, according to a news release from KSP.
The release says Satchwell has been charged with murder and is being held at the Boone County Detention Center.
Asher has been charged with tampering with physical evidence and criminal facilitation to murder and is being held at the Leslie County Detention Center, according to state police.
