CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Southbound Interstate-71 has been shut down after a serious crash involving multiple vehicles, according to police.
The crash occurred sometime Tuesday night at the Reading Road exit, CPD’s traffic unit confirms.
Traffic is being forced off at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Police say the interstate will be shut down for hours.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash, according to the traffic unit. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
No word has been provided on the extent of their injuries.
A witness tells FOX19 NOW a car coming from the northbound lane crossed over the median and hit another car head-on, knocking the car over on its side.
