ROSS TOWNSHIP, Ohio (FOX19) -The search for a fisherman who went missing in the Great Miami River Saturday night in Ross Township is now a recovery mission, Colerain Township Fire Chief Frank Cook said.
Dispatch says a water rescue call came in just before 8:30 p.m.
The Colerain Fire Department says that a 47-year-old man was fishing on the riverbank when he decided to swim across.
Crews searched for hours Saturday night.
The man’s body was pulled from the river around 1 p.m. Sunday, officials said.
