Head-on crash claims life of Waynesville woman

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (FOX19) - One person died Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Clearcreek Township, according to the Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 7:42 p.m. in the 7500 block of Bunnell Hill Road at State Route 73 in front of the Clearcreek Township Administration Building, a news release from the OSHP says.

According to an OSP investigation, Tommy Abner, 48, of Wilmington, drove his Chevrolet 1500 pickup left of center and collided with Jeri Beth Murray, 51, of Waynesville, driving a 2018 Honda Civic.

The news release says Murray was pronounced dead at the scene.

Abner was transported to the Kettering Medical Center Hospital with minor injuries, according to troopers.

Impairment is a suspected factor in the crash, the news release says.

Assistance was provided at the scene by the Clearcreek Township Police Department, Springboro Police Department, and Clearcreek Township Fire & EMS.
