3 found shot Downtown near Great American Ball Park

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Three males were found shot in downtown Cincinnati late Sunday, police say.

This is the latest in a dramatic rise in shootings in Cincinnati and the latest one near Great American Ball Park.

Cincinnati police say they responded to Pete Rose Way near Broadway Street about 10:30 p.m.

The victims were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Their injuries are considered non-life threatening, according to police.

Last week, a double shooting was reported Downtown near Great American Ball Park.

Cincinnati police said officers and fire units responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Joe Nuxhall Way and Mehring Way about 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, July 21.

A 21-year-old man was found shot three times in his lower leg, and a 29-year-old man was shot once in the lower leg, police said. Both victims were treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, including one who was taken there by a private vehicle.

Last month, at least two shootings were reported Downtown, including one near the casino and a fatal one near Fifth Street and Central Avenue.

Overall in Cincinnati, shootings and homicides have been dramatically on the rise this year compared to last.
