Coroner’s office identifies Great Miami River drowning victim

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (FOX19) - A man’s body was recovered from the Great Miami River in Butler County following a water rescue attempt Tuesday night, authorities said.

Wednesday afternoon the Butler County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 27-year-old Fritznel Antoine Dean.

The preliminary manner of death is listed as an accident. The time of death is listed as 9:26 p.m.

Dean fell into the river and did not resurface in an area around the north part of Verity Parkway about 5:30 p.m., county dispatchers confirmed.

A water rescue unit with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office responded around 6 p.m.
