What is an “upside down” day? Take a look at the forecast for Monday. Temperatures will plunge during the day from the low 40s at 7 am to below freezing by 7 pm. In addition, it looks like rain will change to wet snow and accumulate on vegetation and lawns. Most paved surfaces are warm enough this early in the season to melt the snow as it strikes the surface.
By Tuesday morning the skin temperature of bridge decks and elevated surfaces may be cold enough for icy patches where drying does not take place or where flurries are falling.
