GREEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (FOX19) - An apartment fire in Green Township forced several people out of their homes Saturday night.

Fire crews responded to an alarm at the Hidden Lagoon apartment complex in the 5900 block of Colerain Avenue around 8:30 p.m.

They found heavy smoke coming from the third floor, according to Green Township Fire Chief Scott Sounders.

One person was rescued from the third floor by ladder, according to Sounders.

Sounders said one resident suffered minor injuries.

No firefighters were hurt while putting out the fire, the fire chief said.

At least two units were destroyed and there is roof damage to the building, according to Sounders.

He says so far the fire does not look suspicious.

The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
