FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -A motorcyclist from Cincinnati was killed after a crash occurred Friday afternoon, Sgt. Stephen Wheeles of the Indiana State Police said.

Sgt. Wheeles says Daniel A. Cottingham, 58, was riding a 1986 Honda motorcycle eastbound on State Road 252 near Heard Road when he crossed the centerline into the path of a 2006 Chevrolet truck with a camper trailer.

Cottingham was wearing a helmet. He died at the scene, Sgt. Wheeles said. The driver of the Chevrolet, 51-year-old David K. Ivey from Hamilton, Ohio, was not injured.

Toxicology tests are still pending at this time, although alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the crash, Sgt. Wheeles said.

Troopers are still investigating.
