Police warn of scam call advising Ohioans to ‘hold off’ on voting until Wednesday due to long lines

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Akron Police Department warned Ohio voters about a scam call circulating throughout the state on Election Day.

According to police, the fake robocall scam advised people to vote on Wednesday because the lines at polls are too long on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

“This information is FALSE!,” Akron police shared on Facebook.

Anybody who receives a scam call should contact police.

Ohio polls are open until 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
