Thieves caught on cam during Anderson Twp. home break-in

Video shows thieves escaping after home break-in in Anderson Township

ANDERSON TWP., Ohio (FOX19) - The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for at least three suspects involved in a home break-in Sunday in Anderson Township.

The homeowner, who did not wish to be identified, says the thieves did not get away with much, but she’s sharing video of what happened so people in the area know the description of the suspects.

The video shows the thieves leave through the front door, run down the steps and run down the driveway to a waiting car before speeding off.

The homeowner says they were only inside her house for around a minute before a security alarm scared them off. She says ladders stashed outside their home helped the thieves get inside.

“They must have gotten the ladder, taken it to the back deck, climbed up there and climbed onto the deck and broke open the sliding glass door,” she said.

Once inside, the homeowner says the three suspects focused their search on the master bedroom, bathroom and closet.

“Just opened everything up,” she said. “The only thing I could see immediately was my prescriptions, which were funny because it’s just for thyroid and cholesterol.”

The surprising thing might not be what the suspects took, but what they didn’t.

“There was an envelope with $60 in there that they didn’t even take, and there were three $50 Amazon cards right in plain sight that they didn’t take either," she said.

The homeowner says she wants people in the community to learn from how she says these suspects got into her home.

“Be mindful of what you have around your house,” she said.

If you recognize the suspects in the video, you’re urged to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office at (513) 946-6400.
