WALTON, Ky. (FOX19) - A business had to evacuate on Monday after a note and a box indicated a bomb might be in the facility, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to Cummins Filtration on Logistics Boulevard around 12 p.m. Monday for a reported bomb threat, the sheriff’s office says.

An employee found a note that read “bomb diz place” inside of a sealed pallet, Boone County Sheriff’s Office says.

Not long after finding the note, the sheriff’s office says a box with the word “bomb” written on it was found inside the business.

The building was evacuated, and the Cincinnati Fire Department’s Hazardous Device Unit was called to the scene. Around 2:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office says crews determined there was no bomb in the box and the scene was cleared.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and asks anyone with information to call 859-334-2175.
