CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A community in Middletown is demanding answers after noticing their Amazon packages are being mishandled when delivered to them.
Those who have security cameras in front of their house have seen delivery drivers throw their packages just anywhere and then leaving quickly.
“Most of the time, they come through okay, but every once in a while, they won’t even walk up to my door, just toss it at my door, bounce off my door,” said homeowner Chris Knowles.
Chris Knowles has lived in his neighborhood for four years, and as of late, he’s been having issues with his Amazon deliveries.
In a video from Knowles security camera, you can clearly see the Amazon driver barely stepping foot on the porch and throwing the package.
“I’ve had some electronics that didn’t work. I don’t know if that had anything to do with them mistreating them or not; it’s just weird,” said Knowles.
Knowles says this isn’t the first time this has happened.
He has numerous videos of drivers throwing his boxes against the door, leaving him with unanswered questions.
“I don’t know if they’re just overworked and they’re just trying to hurry up and get their day finished and walking an extra four or five feet to the door and just toss it .. maybe that’ll get them in their truck faster,” said Knowles.
Knowles isn’t the only one in the neighborhood who has had this happen.
Facebook users reached out to FOX19, saying this has happened to them as well.
Norma Fugate says, “One of our Amazon packages was thrown on the porch, and it contains lights in it, which is for my daughter’s birthday... so hopefully when she opens her gift, it all functions correctly”.
She goes on to say, “it’s like Amazon delivery people don’t care about other people’s orders.”
“It’s aggravating, you know I spend a lot of money I get through Amazon, and a lot of items come through okay but when you see people mistreating your packages you pay for - some of the stuff I get through Amazon is pretty expensive. It’s just annoying and makes me feel like they don’t respect other people’s stuff or customer service may be down I don’t know,” said Knowles.
FOX19 did reach out to Amazon - we have yet to hear back.
